If you have looked through the many pages of this site, you have seen there are plenty opportunities to learn about riding, training, showing, boarding, breeding and sales!  There is also lot that goes on in the background that keeps ECETC running smoothly.  ECETC insists on a high standard of horse care.  The horses must be exercised, fed, groomed, stalls cleaned, tack cleaned, stable swept, pastures and grounds maintained and horses prepped for shows and sales.

Horse shows and events require lot of work in the background, including prep work, such as setting up courses, mailers, and flyers as well as participation in the show or working the concession stand, ring stewards, show secretaries, etc. So you can see there is plenty of opportunity to gain a wealth of experience in the horse business with ECETC.

ECETC employs for full time, part time and also has a working student program.

Riding Lesson Instructors

Our experienced riding instructors are very good in providing lessons to those of all ages. Our instructors teach beginners, intermediate, Hunter, Jumper and Dressage and Cross Country riders, taking riders to the next level of their riding abilities.  Students range in age from 6 through adult at various levels of knowledge and riding skills.  If students choose to, the instructors take students to local, state and national shows along the mid-Atlantic area.

You can also see the results of our instructors through their students at the ECHSA shows! Visit our Riding Instructor page to meet our instructors.

Facility Maintenance

These great people are responsible for the day-to-day duties required of the horses, facilities and grounds.  This is a lot of hard work without which the facility would not look as great as it does!  The facility has become a grand place to admire!  There isn't much they don't tend to daily.

Their work includes, but is not limited to; mucking, cleaning stalls, wash stalls, grooming areas, maintaining fence lines, turning horses in/out, blanketing, feeding, feeding supplements, and grooming.  They are also responsible for grounds keeping, landscaping, fencing and assisting as needed to maintain smooth operation of ECETC.
